Y Vote is an AEGEE project whose goal is to raise awareness about the importance of voting in the European Elections and the youth’s role in political activism, representation and advocacy. Through this project, raise awareness to the youth on European values and the role and impact of the Parliament in their everyday life. We also have the ambition for the youth to understand their potential impact on the democratic process and their community.

Our activities around the project include:

Our agenda for Europe where we create a space in order to deepen people’s understanding of the institutions and offer them a space for discussion and debate. Conventions then take place in our AEGEE locals lasting 1 to 4 days. They include thematic workshops and social activities.

An ambassador’s programme where we encourage young people to engage and participate directly in a pan-Europe campaign around the elections. It is mainly aimed at young people who want to get actively involved in volunteering and organising activities in their community while joining a European campaign and a community of like-minded people.

– The Y vote local actions where we encourage youth people to bring the elections closer to their communities. In 2024, 18 local activities were organized in 9 different countries with more than 350 local participants.
