The European Study & Career Fair which takes place in Enschede, The Netherlands on 2nd of May 2012, under patronage of Mr. Laszlo Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.

It brings together more than 1000 international students from all over Europe, 500 local students and universities, companies, scholarship platforms and academic institutions, providing a perfect space for networking and making life choices for students’ future. The event is organized as an open pre-event to our Biannual General Assembly – AGORA Enschede. Members of the Agora, local students and international students participating in different exchange programmes and temporarily living in the city, get the opportunity to discover variety of educational programmes offered by up to 40 European universities, internships and career opportunities of international institutions and companies.

The event is a truly unique opportunity for universities and companies to advertise their programmes among international students or workers. Whereas most study & career fairs attract only students and institutions from one country or close neighboring countries, the European Study & Career Fair organised by AEGEE-Europe unites universities, companies and young people from literally all over Europe (including 40 European countries).

AEGEE collects a wide range of European youngsters with fluent English language skills, interest and openness for Europe and willingness to enter programmes of higher education or start a career in a country other than their origin. Our students have strong interest in international cooperation and background experience in the youth sector’s topics such as project management, leadership, development etc.

The Fair will not only make students familiar with different opportunities of studying in Europe but also provide them with all necessary information they have to know before applying for the educational and recruitment programmes. The unique opportunity for all universities and companies is not only to present their offer but also to lead workshops or discussions during which students can get more familiar with application procedures or academic requirements.

The European Study & Career Fair will be promoted through internal and external means of communication owned by AEGEE, as well as in cooperation with partners of the Association. To attract a broader local audience of young people from Enschede and neighborhood, the event will be promoted in a close cooperation with the organizing team of AEGEE-Enschede and University of Twente. Additionally a special “European Study & Career Fair booklet” will be printed and distributed at the venue and to all participants and guests of the General Assembly.

The event will take place already for fifth time (previous editions took place in Kyiv (Ukraine), Leiden (The Netherlands), Istanbul (Turkey) and Alicante (Spain).
