The Summer University Project gives every year more than 2500 young people from all over Europe the possibility to participate in an international cultural summer course in one of 100 cities of the continent.

It is AEGEE’s oldest and most popular project uniting 70 summer courses. The Summer Universities are organized by local AEGEE members on a non-profit, voluntary basis, with topics from language course to cultural course, sports course or travelling. Each Summer University gives the chance to 20-50 students or young professionals from all over Europe to experience cultural exchange for a student-friendly price of on average 140€ for 2 weeks.

Applicants can choose from the following kinds of Summer Universities:

Language Course: gives the participants a chance to learn a new language or improve their already existing language skills during at least 16 hours of tuition per week.

Language Course Plus: an intensive language course, where participants receive at least 20 hours of intensive language tuition by professional teachers.

Summer Universities offer participants the possibility to increase their international and European awareness by spending 10 days to 3 weeks with other young people from all parts of Europe, to break stereotypes and to gain a deeper knowledge of the host country.
