Central European University (CEU) is an English-language graduate university based in Budapest, Hungary. Students come from 100 countries and faculty from 40. CEU is accredited in the United States and Hungary.
CEU offers 32 Master’s and 11 doctoral programs in the social sciences and humanities, law, public policy, economics, environmental sciences and policy, and mathematics.
All Master’s and doctoral candidates are eligible to apply for merit-based financial aid and scholarships. In Academic Year 2009/2010 more than 80% of CEU students received financial aid. DG EAC, EACEA – Youth in Action Programme
Youth in Action is the Programme the European Union has set up for young people. It aims to inspire a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union’s future. It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU’s borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background: Youth in Action is a Programme for all.
Every year, thousands of projects are submitted by promoters in order to get financial support from the Programme; a selection process aims at granting the best projects.
Council of Europe – European Youth Foundation
The European Youth Foundation (EYF) is a fund established in 1972 by the Council of Europe to provide financial support for European youth activities. It has an annual budget of approximately 3 million Euros. Since 1972, more than 300 000 young people, aged between 15 and 30 and mostly from member states, have benefited directly from EYF-supported activities. In 2007 the EYF supported some 300 projects involving more than 15 000 young people.

European Youth Forum
The European Youth Forum is an international umbrella organization established by national youth councils and international non-governmental youth organisations in Europe, such as AEGEE-Europe, bringing together tens of millions of young people from all European countries. At the moment, there are in total 99 member organisations.
It endeavours to serve the interests of young people from all over Europe, promoting their active participation in the construction of a common Europe. Working with international institutions, mainly the European Union, the Council of Europe and the United Nations, it serves to channel the flow of information and opinions between young people and decision-makers.
European Movement International
The EUROPEAN MOVEMENT is an international organisation open to all political, economic, social and cultural trends in civil society. Its objective is to “contribute to the establishment of a united, federal Europe founded on the principles of peace, democracy, liberty, solidarity, and respect for basic human rights. It seeks to provide a structure to encourage and facilitate the active participation of citizens and civil society organisations in the development of a united Europe”. Its 42 National Councils and 27 associated Member Organisations work towards bringing together representatives from European associations, political parties, enterprises, trade unions and individual lobbyists.
UNESCO
UNESCO – United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization, works to create the conditions for dialogue among civilizations, cultures and peoples. It is through this dialogue that the world can achieve global visions of sustainable development encompassing observance of human rights, mutual respect and the alleviation of poverty.
UNESCO’s mission is to contribute to the building of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, the sciences, culture, communication and information.
AEGEE maintains official relations with UNESCO in the framework of Liaison Committee. During the period of 2007-2010 AEGEE is one of the most active NGO’s in Joint Programmatic Commission of Youth.
World Bank
The World Bank is one of the world’s biggest institutions, with a multi-dimensional and crucial function in the global economic and social scene. Its mission and target is to eradicate poverty throughout the world, while striving at the same time for a sustainable and productive globalization. It consists of two main bodies, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA), and its actions include providing financial support for the poor and developing countries of the world, as well as conducting research and providing with technical and economical reports of the highest level on the current and future situation of the world’s economy.

The OECD mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.
The Organisation provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems. They work with governments to understand what drives economic, social and environmental change. They measure productivity and global flows of trade and investment. They analyse and compare data to predict future trends. They set international standards on all sorts of things, from the safety of chemicals and nuclear power plants to the quality of cucumbers!
European Civic Forum
The EUROPEAN CIVIC FORUM (FCE) is a transnational network gathering today 100 associations and NGOs from 28 countries; created in December 2005, following a meeting of European NGO leaders that took place in the Council of Europe. The ECF is a young network with a strong ambition to encourage a civic and popular ownership of Europe by its citizens. Committed to the cause of making Europe attractive to citizens again, the ECF promotes the emergence of a real civic dialogue in Europe, actively working on European, national and regional level.
AEGEE-Europe has been involved in the foundation of the European Civic Forum, as a member of the Animation Committee; currently AEGEE-Europe is a part of the Board of Directors of the European Civic Forum.
EUCIS-LLL
The European Civil Society Platform on Lifelong Learning (EUCIS-LLL) gathers 20 European networks working in education and training. Together, these organisations cover all sectors of education and training including networks for higher education, vocational education and training, adult education and popular education; networks for students, school heads, parents, HRD professionals, teachers and trainers. Through its members, EUCIS-LLL embodies lifelong learning.
The goal of the platform is to offer the possibility for the European citizen’s voice to be heard on educational issues and to bring concrete solutions for potential ways in which the decisions made by the European Institutions can be realized.

IFISO
IFISO – Informal Forum of International Student Organisations. IFISO is an informal forum for international officers of pluralistic, “non-political” and not-for-profit international (worldwide, European, etc.) student-run organizations. IFISO is an international network of global or European Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). IFISO provides a platform for these NGOs to share best practices, but also to pursue common aims, often by cooperating through inter-organisational projects on a European level.
BEST
Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organisation. Since 1989 BEST has been providing communication, cooperation and exchange opportunities for students all over Europe.
89 Local BEST Groups in 30 countries are creating a growing, well-organised, powerful, young and innovative student network.
BEST promotes “Empowered diversity”and helps the European students of technology become more internationally minded, by reaching a better understanding of European cultures and developing the ability to work and volunteer in a global environment.
EESTEC
EESTEC – Electrical Engineering STudents’ European assoCiation is a European wide association of students of electrical engineering (EE) and computer science (CS). Our vision is to unite all students of EE and CS in order to achieve their full potential in their personal and professional life, as well as promoting our EE and CS amongst all students across Europe. The backbone of our activities consists of academical workshops on various thematics from EE and CS field. Our activities also take place in cultural exchanges and other numerous events (round tables, competitions, JobFairs, career events,…) organized by our Local Committees. Currently, EESTEC is spreaded on 51 universities through whole Europe.
EPSA
The European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (EPSA) is a non-profit and non-political association which represents 33 Pharmacy Students’ Associations from 29 countries, representing around 120.000 pharmacy students all over Europe. Its main objective is ‘to develop the interests and opinions of European pharmacy students and to encourage contact and collaboration between them.
EPSA’s motto “Bringing Pharmacy, Knowledge and Students Together” reflects its will to promote the ideas and opinions of all the students of Pharmacy in Europe in order to improve the Education, the Pharmaceutical Profession and the Scientific Advances regarding Pharmacy.
EPSA has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, in PGEU’s offices.
ESN
Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a not-for-profit international student organisation. Our mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students.
We are 12.000 members from more than 350 sections working on a volunteer base in Higher Education Institutions. We are offering services to 150.000 students.
ESTIEM
ESTIEM is the organisation for European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management, who combine technological understanding with management skills. ESTIEM’s goal is to establish and foster relations between students across Europe and to support them in their personal and professional development. The network consists of 64 Local Groups in 25 countries, reaching out to 50 000 students.
IAPSS
The International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) is a platform for political science students and students interested in political science issues. The Association is international, politically independent, non-profit and student-run, and aims to have global impact in the political science sphere. In its thirteen years of existence, IAPSS embraces over 75 association members, approximately 10.000 individuals, from more than fifty countries spread all over the world. Next tot he Executive Committee which is situated in Ljubljana, Slovenia, IAPSS also has two specialized regional centres, one in Latin America headquartered in Peru (IAPSS LARC) and one in the Western Balkans.

The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) is one of the largest international student forums, bringing together more than 1.2 million medical students representing 96 countries from all 4 corners of the globe. The IFMSA believes and works towards creating culturally sensitive medical students who are able to appreciate health problems throughout the world, work relentlessly to alleviate the burdens of those problems and join forces with relevant partners to create healthier communities, and thus a healthier world.
