The AEGEEan – The Magazine for AEGEE Members

The AEGEEan is the only magazine for AEGEE members, by AEGEE members. Launched in September 2011, The AEGEEan provides an overview of what is happening in our Network. The variety of articles goes from reporting about statutory events, like the Agora, to interviews with the members of the Comité Directeur and other people actively involved in the European level, as well as travel advice by locals and much more. So check it out!
Every AEGEE member can write for The AEGEEan, about a topic fitting in one of the magazine’s six sections: Network, People, European Events, Working Groups, Comité Directeur, and Beyond AEGEE.
Key to Europe

The Key to Europe is AEGEE’s annual review issued once a year at the Autumn Agora. It contains articles about the activities and the thematic focus of AEGEE during the previous year, as well as an outlook to the forthcoming tasks. It is a publication aimed at both externals and AEGEE members, giving an overview of AEGEE’s values and activities.

Communication Guidelines

The Communication Guidelines is a document that incorporates all rules on AEGEE’s internal and external communication. They walk you through all communication channels like mailing lists and social media, describe basic rules that have to be followed by AEGEE members and also include hints for effective communication. The following chapters are included:
- Mailing lists
- Available communication channels
- Contacting European Level bodies
AEGEE Forum

The AEGEE Forum is a two way communication platform for discussing issues in different threads of topics. The Forum is divided between several sections, so as to organise the topics connected to administrative and thematical matters in a coherent form. The Forum is moderated by the Comité Directeur, who can delete a post, in case it is insulting to the participants of the discussion.
Corpus Iuridicum Aegeense (CIA)

The CIA stands for the Latin phrase Corpus Iuridicum Aegeense which represents the legal document and official statute of AEGEE-Europe that holds a good number of rules and regulations guiding the entire association. This fundamental document can be divided into three main parts: the Statutes of AEGEE-Europe which delineate the most important aspects of the association; the Working Formats which provide an added insight on a particular working body within the same association and the Annexes which include the applicable French law guiding our association and the Application Form for Candidatures. The CIA remains a highly dynamic document and in fact, at every Agora, there is the possibility for members to submit proposals to introduce or amend changes which following a positive voting, they are endorsed. However, it is the task of the JC that after every Agora, these changes have to be implemented and published to the availability of the Network.

Strategic Plan of AEGEE-Europe 2011-2014

The concept of the Strategic Plan is to foresee a significant change in our organisation and in Europe in three years, and put AEGEE in a key role towards these changes. This is the reason why the Strategic Plan of AEGEE, in the current shape, is divided in 2 main parts, a thematic and an organisational part.
The thematic part is divided in three main Focus Areas:
- Youth Participation,
- Bridging Europe,
- Inclusion of Minorities.
