Welcome!

From 7th until 21st September 2005, AEGEE will conduct a Case Study Trip to the island of Cyprus. Hereby, AEGEE wants to put a spotlight on the Cyprus conflict from a subjective point of view: the perspective of the people living on both sides of the divided island. A diverse group of 30 young people from the Greek and Turkish parts as well as Europe at large are going to work together in a multicultural team for two weeks at various locations on Cyprus. The nature of the issue at hand provides an opportunity to consciously focus on open communication, tolerance, mutual acceptance and the thoughtful handling of different points of view.

The project is planned by an international project team, recruited from active young people from both Cypriot communities and Europe at large. The project team is supported by interested students from within the European network of AEGEE as well as by the Comité Directeur in Brussels. The local organisation is in the hands of the project's local partner organisations, AEGEE-Lefkosia and AEGEE-Magusa.

This webpage is put up in order to inform interested persons as well as potential and actual participants about our project. During the preparatory phase, a lot of information for our participants (who will be selected shortly after the application procedure closes) will be made available via this web portal, and our participants will also find a place to discuss and access to information (some of it for obvious reasons access restricted).
After the project will have finished, the findings of the Case Study Trip will be made available via this website, as well as information about possible follow-ups.
